Today, we’re digging deeper into the source of Comp-ware systems with a biography and Q/A with Alessandro Cacciani!
Born In Mineola NY, Grew up partially in the United States and partially in Montecarotto Italy. Graduated Hofstra University with a BA in Industrial Psychology and a Minor in Operations management.
I took apart my first computer at 13 years of age and have been involved in IT ever since. Started my Retail career at 16 and was the youngest store manager for a big box electronics store in NY. I moved into operations and found my niche then, Operations management offered me a mix of IT and Management and it was very satisfying.
In 2003 I became a partial owner of Pet Experience in Long Island, NY. I met Richard in 2004 when we needed to upgrade our Point of Sale System. In late 2004, our computer server crashed and Richard was unavailable so, I worked my way through the system and was able to rebuild the software. When I was able to speak to Richard, he asked if I would be interested in doing installs and training for him, and that’s where it all began. I have been working with Comp-Ware ever since.
I am married to my wife for 18 years and I have two beautiful children ages 10 and 3.
